Decoralot began with a frustration you have probably felt yourself. You fall in love with a room — in a magazine, on Pinterest, in a friend's home — and then you try to actually build it. The inspiration is everywhere. The guidance is nowhere. The great design publications will show you a thousand beautiful living rooms, but they will not tell you whether that $3,400 sofa is genuinely better made than the $1,800 one, whether the designer rug is worth four times the price of its lookalike, or which of two beloved furniture brands will still look right in your home fifteen years from now. Meanwhile, the sites that do talk about buying tend to treat a sofa like a phone charger — ten products, ten affiliate links, no real opinion, and certainly no understanding of why a hand-tied spring system or a kiln-dried hardwood frame matters to someone furnishing a home they plan to keep. Decoralot exists to close that gap.

What we believe

When our assessment is hands-on, we say so. When it is built on deep research rather than ownership, we say that too.
